Senior Manager, Practice Operations

Finni Health,
$130,000 - $150,000Remote

About The Position

Finni Health helps BCBAs go independent by providing the infrastructure for them to do so, including credentialing, payer contracting, revenue cycle, HR, compliance, and the software that integrates these functions. The company supports practices across multiple states and is expanding rapidly. This role is for someone who enjoys tackling operational challenges in a fast-paced, regulated industry. As a Senior Manager, Practice Operations, you will be responsible for identifying operational areas that need improvement, designing and implementing optimized workflows, and ensuring their successful adoption and sustainment. The role involves taking ownership of specific operational problems, documenting processes, measuring performance, collaborating with product teams, and training operational staff. The goal is to transition these optimized processes to designated owners, allowing the Senior Manager to move on to the next challenge. The initial assignment for this role is to optimize the credentialing and payer enrollment process, focusing on reducing the time it takes for providers to become enrolled with payers, ensuring accurate submissions, tracking blocked billing due to enrollment issues, and establishing clear documentation and evidence for each step.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience running operations in a complex, regulated environment, preferably in healthcare (multi-state experience preferred).
  • Demonstrated expertise in identifying inefficiencies and building practical solutions, not just identifying problems.
  • A track record of successfully completing projects from inception to handoff, including the ability to explain how they were handed off and if they were sustained.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with operational data, identify trends, and implement data-driven solutions.
  • Proven ability to influence individuals who do not report to you to change their work methods without damaging relationships.
  • Familiarity with provider credentialing or payer enrollment processes (e.g., CAQH, NPPES, PECOS, state Medicaid portals, commercial payer portals) is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across internal teams and with external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and Slack.
  • Passion for Finni's mission to democratize autism care and empower providers.
  • Comfort and ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment, embracing change and navigating ambiguity proactively.

Nice To Haves

  • Early-stage startup, behavioral or mental health, or healthcare tech experience.
  • Prior authorization or utilization management experience.
  • Experience writing requirements for a product or engineering team.
  • Experience working with offshore teams.
  • Experience with EHR or operational management tools.

Responsibilities

  • Take an operational problem from roughly defined to fully optimized, collaborating on the solution design and then owning its implementation, sequencing, and adoption.
  • Develop operating procedures for a best-in-class team, including owners, timings, and escalation paths, creating living documents that are actively used.
  • Define key performance indicators, ensure data trustworthiness, and own the relevance of the metrics being tracked.
  • Design and execute quality checks to confirm accuracy and timeliness of work, ensuring proof is attached and independently confirmed.
  • Act as the operations representative in Product, translating team needs into engineering specifications and verifying that solutions effectively address problems.
  • Roll out new processes and train operations teams across different time zones to ensure adoption and execution.
  • Complete assignments by ensuring a named owner (other than yourself) takes over, a published metric demonstrates success, written materials are in use, and a 60-day check-in confirms sustainment.
  • Collaborate with credentialing, revenue cycle, product, practice success, HR, and compliance teams to align operational changes with business objectives.
  • Adapt and take on evolving responsibilities and projects as Finni Health grows and priorities shift.

Benefits

  • Base salary of $130,000 – $150,000.
  • Equity in the company.
  • Fully remote within the US.
  • Some flexibility on hours due to operations team working across time zones.
  • Meaningful work directly impacting families needing autism care.
  • Opportunity for significant ownership and visible impact in a growing company.
