We are seeking an accomplished veterinarian for the U.S. Petcare Strategic Partnerships Account Medical Lead team with responsibility for supporting medical education, commercial plans, and pipeline/new product activities for assigned accounts. A key objective of the position is to grow and strengthen the Zoetis relationship with medical leadership in assigned accounts, lead the development of medical education plans for these accounts and disseminate Zoetis Petcare resources to effectively execute on the medical component of Zoetis strategic plans within these accounts.

Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or equivalent.
5 years post-doctoral experience in clinical practice, academia, research or industry.
Animal health industry experience including veterinary professional services, research, sales/account management, large account management and/or marketing.
Proficiency with online video hosting platforms (including Zoom) and the Microsoft Office suite of tools including Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word applications.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal, written, presentation).
Proven leadership ability.
High degree of self-motivation and ability to embrace complexity and rapid, continuous change.
Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team-based environment, align with and influence internal and external stakeholders, and build / manage relationships at all levels of an organization.
Demonstrated strategic, directional thinking skills.
Demonstrated ability for matrix management.

Responsibilities

Build relations with medical and field leadership of assigned customers (i.e., Chief Medical Officers, Regional Medical Directors, etc.).
Lead the development of medical education plans for assigned customers to ensure that customers are well educated in key therapeutic and disease areas to support sales growth for Zoetis to achieve financial objectives.
Partner with U.S. Petcare Strategic Partner team colleagues, U.S. Medical Affairs and Petcare VPS (Veterinary Professional Services) to ensure the delivery of appropriate medical education aligned to medical education plans strengthen confidence in Zoetis therapeutics and services within assigned accounts.
Partner with the medical leadership of assigned accounts to facilitate the uptake and utilization of Zoetis products and/or influence the development of focus therapeutic areas within assigned accounts.
Lead the medical strategy for new product launches within assigned accounts.
Identify & develop Key Opinion Leaders to advocate for focus Zoetis brands within assigned accounts.
Align with partner team to achieve projected performance outcomes for aligned accounts.
Grow and/or defend emphasis products for the U.S. Petcare business.
Responsibly manage all resources to ensure maximal growth opportunities and profitability in U.S. Petcare business.
Partner with U.S. Petcare Strategic Partner Team commercial and marketing colleagues to develop and execute the medical components of commercial plans for assigned accounts.
Collaborate with U.S. Petcare strategic partnership and partner development colleagues to identify and develop core medical education plans, priorities, and strategic imperatives in each assigned account.
Maintain thorough knowledge of brand strategies for each therapeutic category and ensure Zoetis products are thoroughly, and appropriately, positioned within each assigned account.
Collaborate with VMIPS (Veterinary Medical Information and Product Support) team to ensure customers are aware of and leveraging VMIPS resources appropriately.
Collaborate with U.S. Medical Affairs, Petcare VPS, VMIPS and VMRD (Veterinary Medical Research & Development) leadership to review Zoetis product performance and pharmacovigilance reporting.
Demonstrate an exceptional level of communication and collaboration across all functions of the U.S. Petcare Strategic Partnerships Team as well as seamless collaboration with our PSV’s (Professional Service Veterinarian – field-based colleagues within our VPS team).
Work collaboratively with U.S. Petcare VPS, Sales and Marketing Leadership to ensure assigned account plans are consistent with other Zoetis Animal Health US commercial strategies.
Create strong, collaborative relationships across all other Zoetis commercial teams (e.g., Regulatory Affairs, Outcomes Research, VMIPS and Global Medical Affairs).
Work with assigned customers and U.S. Petcare colleagues on strategic planning and program delivery to create mutual growth for our emphasis solutions.
Collaborate on key opinion leader and medical communication strategy with U.S. Petcare VPS and U.S. Medical Affairs colleagues.
Be recognized as a credible representative of Zoetis within assigned accounts and Zoetis.
Attend and contribute to selected professional organization meetings.
