About The Position

Freudigman & Billings is seeking a full-time Senior Instructor for its Admissions Test Prep team at its Westport, Connecticut center. The role focuses on one-on-one ACT and SAT preparation, with other test-preparation experience welcomed. Instructors teach information-processing, self-monitoring, critical-thinking, and problem-solving strategies that help students gather, sequence, track, and classify information, reason, solve problems, make inferences, and draw conclusions. The instructional approach emphasizes developing capable, confident, and independent learners rather than relying on rote memorization or large volumes of practice questions. The Senior Instructor teaches a cohort of students for approximately 20–24 instructional hours per week and collaborates with Test Prep Leadership and colleagues across Educational Therapy, Academic Instruction, and College Advising. The position also includes departmental contributions, initially reserved for approximately five hours per week, in areas such as curriculum, instructor development, family communication, student data analysis, or other initiatives suited to the instructor’s expertise. Work is performed onsite at the Westport center; this is not a remote position. The role offers a salary of $85,000–$100,000, based on experience, and benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, disability insurance, paid parental leave, a 401(k) plan, paid sick time, vacation time, and holidays.
