•$85,000 - $100,000•Onsite

About The Position

Freudigman & Billings is seeking a full-time Senior Instructor for its Admissions Test Prep team at its Westport, Connecticut center. The role focuses on helping students prepare for the ACT and SAT, with other test-preparation experience welcomed, including the ISEE, SSAT, MCAT, GMAT, GRE, and LSAT. This is an onsite position; all work is performed at the center. Instructors teach information processing, self-monitoring, critical thinking, and problem-solving strategies. Rather than relying on rote memorization or simply assigning practice questions, instruction helps students gather, sequence, track, and classify information from text and visual sources so they can reason, solve problems, make inferences, and draw conclusions. The broader aim is to help students become capable, independent learners. The Senior Instructor provides one-on-one instruction to a cohort of students, averaging approximately 20–24 instructional hours per week, and builds productive relationships with students and families. The instructor collaborates with Test Prep Leadership to create and carry out individualized plans, works with colleagues across Educational Therapy, Academic Instruction, and College Advising, and may support students applying for testing accommodations. The position also includes departmental contributions beyond teaching, such as curriculum development, instructor coaching, family communication, student data analysis, or other initiatives. Approximately five hours per week are initially reserved for these efforts. The center provides established curriculum, instructional materials, assessment processes, student-management systems, administrative support, and collaborative resources. Instructors have a private classroom, whiteboard, and materials for sessions. Compensation is $85,000–$100,000 based on experience, with paid sick time, vacation time, and holidays, as well as medical, dental, and vision insurance, short- and long-term disability insurance, paid parental leave, and a 401(k) plan.
