About The Position

Red Clover is a New Jersey-based strategic Human Resources and organizational change management firm that provides HR consulting to help clients navigate business transformation, organizational growth, restructuring, and downsizing. The Senior HR Consultant works with small and mid-sized customers on HR process design, implementation, and support.

This full-time role guides a team of Consultants in their day-to-day responsibilities and supports their ongoing growth and development. The Senior Consultant also works autonomously to deliver strategic HR solutions to assigned clients, manage client engagements, and serve as a lead strategic HR partner. The schedule is flexible within the framework of client engagements, with work performed across the Parsippany office, remote work, and customer sites. Senior Consultants are expected to be physically present in the office three days per week. The role is Monday through Friday.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Psychology, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 5 years of progressive HR experience managing employee lifecycle functions, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, terminations, HR compliance, compensation, and benefits administration.
• Professional HR certification through a recognized organization such as SHRM or HRCI is required.
• Demonstrated success in process improvement, change management, and implementing effective HR practices.
• Ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities, and drive projects and initiatives to completion.
• Working knowledge of P&L management and understanding of key financial drivers.
• Proficiency with Mac OS, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and Slack.

Nice To Haves

• Previous people management experience, including leading, coaching, and developing team members, is highly preferred.
• Previous consulting experience is an asset.
• Experience working in a small, dynamic startup environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Hold Consultants accountable for delivering high-quality client work in accordance with agreed-upon project plans, scope, timelines, and budgets.
• Manage a portfolio of client engagements, overseeing profitability, resource allocation, Consultant utilization, and overall engagement performance.
• Serve as the lead strategic HR partner for small and mid-sized clients, providing practical guidance and solutions aligned with their business objectives.
• Lead the scoping, estimating, and planning of new client engagements to establish clear deliverables, realistic timelines, and accurate budgets.
• Develop quarterly engagement plans and monitor progress, hours, deliverables, and outcomes to ensure successful execution.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with senior client stakeholders, ensuring alignment, proactively addressing concerns, and identifying opportunities to deliver additional value.
• Serve as an escalation point and trusted advisor for clients and Consultants, resolving complex issues and ensuring effective outcomes.
• Provide Consultants with guidance and constructive feedback related to client engagement management, project execution, and service delivery.
• Identify opportunities to improve internal processes, service delivery, operational efficiency, and client experience, and recommend solutions to firm leadership.
• Represent the firm at networking events and industry functions to build relationships, strengthen brand visibility, and support business development efforts.
• Partner with firm leadership on strategic initiatives, organizational goals, and continuous improvement efforts that support business growth and team effectiveness.
