About The Position

The Senior Growth Marketing Manager is the campaign engine for Blackboard’s new-logo pipeline in the Business & Government segment and a connector between acquisition and the post-sale customer journey. Within Revenue Marketing, the role reports to the VP of Revenue Marketing and translates go-to-market positioning and segment strategy into integrated, multi-channel demand generation campaigns that create and accelerate pipeline. This hands-on role owns end-to-end campaign planning and delivery, from brief through launch and performance reporting. It partners with Product Marketing, Marketing Intelligence, Marketing Operations, Sales, Customer Growth & Advocacy, and Brand and Creative to connect campaigns to target audiences, pipeline goals, and revenue strategies. The role is accountable for pipeline quality and conversion, not simply top-of-funnel activity, and stays connected to customer signals that inform campaign strategy. The position also owns Blackboard’s physical and digital field presence in Business & Government, including regional events, third-party conferences, and the flagship customer event BbT. Events are treated as pipeline programs, each with documented targets, measurement plans, and post-event attribution. The role is also expected to design AI-native workflows for campaign analysis, personalization, and optimization, and adapt campaigns to how buyers use AI in research and selection.

Requirements

  • 8–10 years of B2B demand generation or growth marketing experience, ideally in EdTech, SaaS, or a similarly complex enterprise environment.
  • A proven record of building and executing integrated campaigns that generate pipeline, with a measurable contribution target owned by the candidate.
  • Hands-on experience designing, running, and measuring account-based marketing programs.
  • Experience owning field and event marketing, including conference presence, regional programs, event budgets, and post-event attribution.
  • Experience building AI-enabled workflows and automations as a core part of work, with examples and results to demonstrate.
  • A data-driven approach, including reviewing performance, identifying what works, and making adjustments independently.
  • Strong working knowledge of HubSpot or Marketo and Salesforce, including lead flows, campaign tracking, and attribution.
  • Experience with intent data platforms such as 6sense or Demandbase, or similar, and ability to use their signals for campaign targeting.
  • Experience managing paid-media agency relationships across search, display, or programmatic, and coordinating creative production.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-moving organization, manage calendars, brief collaborators, and own outcomes.
  • Strong written communication skills, including translating complex positioning into campaign copy, clear creative briefs, and executive-ready performance summaries.
  • Ability to influence cross-functionally and work effectively with Sales, including pushing back when needed while maintaining relationships.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience marketing to corporate or government/public-sector audiences.
  • Familiarity with generative engine optimization (GEO) and optimizing content for visibility in AI-generated answers.
  • Experience with AI SDR platforms or outbound sequencing tools integrated into campaign workflows.
  • Experience contributing to flagship customer events or user conferences as part of an integrated campaign strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Own the integrated new-logo campaign calendar for the Business & Government segment, defining pipeline targets for every program.
  • Translate go-to-market positioning and competitive differentiation into audience-specific campaign narratives and assets.
  • Execute multi-channel campaigns across paid media, email, content syndication, webinars, and field events.
  • Design and run account-based marketing programs for target Business & Government accounts.
  • Coordinate with the VP of GTM on buyer prompts and themes to support Blackboard’s visibility in AI-generated research environments (GEO).
  • Partner with marketing channel teams so programs compound return on investment rather than operate in isolation.
  • Build AI-native workflows for ongoing campaign analysis, audience personalization, and performance optimization, and share those workflows with the broader team.
  • Coordinate regional field activation programs—including road shows, executive dinners, and partner-hosted events—with the Events, Sr Manager, tying them to pipeline goals in specific accounts or geographies.
  • Contribute to BbT26, Blackboard’s flagship customer event, coordinating field and campaign strategies.
  • Build and own post-event attribution models that measure pipeline sourced, pipeline influenced, and closed-won contribution for each event investment.
  • Own a direct pipeline contribution target, review performance weekly, and course-correct when programs underperform.
  • Work with Marketing Intelligence to define campaign-level pipeline targets and track performance against them.
  • Use intent data and buying signals to prioritize campaign audiences and personalize outreach.
  • Build and maintain multi-touch attribution to capture campaign contribution across the full funnel.
  • Flag customer expansion signals, including engagement patterns, advocacy activity, and product usage, to Customer Growth & Advocacy.
  • Brief and collaborate with Content and Brand teams on landing pages, nurture emails, one-pagers, and digital ads.
  • Coordinate with Marketing Operations on list segmentation, lead routing, and campaign tracking in HubSpot and Salesforce.
  • Align with Product Marketing on sales enablement and consistent campaign messaging across go-to-market teams.
  • Develop field-specific assets such as event booth briefs, executive event guides, and post-event nurture sequences.
  • Own campaign performance reporting, including pipeline contribution, MQL-to-SQL ratios, closed-won rates, cost per opportunity, and event ROI.
  • Test and optimize messaging, creative, calls to action, and audience segments to improve performance.
  • Present campaign results and recommendations at weekly pipeline reviews, bringing a point of view in addition to reporting.
  • Influence Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing partners to support campaigns and ensure appropriate attribution.
