About The Position

ChargeTronix is hiring a senior Tier III field service technician to serve as the top technical field position on its service team. The technician will work on ChargeTronix modular DC fast chargers, independently resolving complex escalations, commissioning new installations, and improving product reliability through root-cause analysis and structured feedback to engineering. The role owns uptime across a Southern California-based territory, mentors Tier I and Tier II technicians, and serves as the primary on-site technical contact for customers and site hosts. It reports to the Field Service Manager and has no direct reports. The position requires substantial regional travel, with home base in Southern California, home most weekends, and periodic out-of-state air travel. The schedule is standard Monday-to-Friday hours, with a paid on-call rotation and occasional weekend or after-hours work for site emergencies. Technicians plan their routes and workdays to serve the most sites per trip. The work involves diagnosing and repairing DC fast chargers at the component level, testing and commissioning charging sites, maintaining interoperability test vehicles, managing territory reliability and spare parts, coaching junior technicians, documenting service work, and following electrical safety requirements. The technician works outdoors in varied weather, around energized equipment, and in confined cabinet spaces, and uses a company vehicle for extended driving. Compensation is $75,000–$85,000 per year depending on experience, credentials, and platform depth. Per diem on travel days and an on-call differential are paid in addition to base pay. The position is classified as full-time and exempt.
