About The Position

Harmonic is seeking a Senior Field Application Engineer to serve as the technical authority for DOCSIS access deployments across cable operator and MSO accounts. This hands-on, customer-facing role owns technical relationships for assigned accounts from architecture and lab validation through field trials, production turn-up, and ongoing optimization. The position also serves as a senior technical escalation point, working with T2 and LIFT teams to resolve complex issues. The role leads network design and dimensioning for DOCSIS builds and upgrades, as well as lab qualification, interoperability, field trial, and proof-of-concept programs. It translates operator requirements into product requirements and collaborates with Product Management and R&D to inform the roadmap. The engineer drives escalated troubleshooting and root cause analysis on live networks, coordinating with customer NOC teams, T2 and LIFT teams, Harmonic Support, and R&D engineering. This is a hybrid role with periodic onsite work in Denver, Colorado, and approximately 20% travel. The position reports to the Global Leader, Field Application Engineering. The estimated base salary range is $150,000–$170,000.
