About The Position

As part of GE Aerospace Digital Technology supporting the Defense & Systems (D&S) business, the Senior Director, Technical Product Management leads product management across the Defense and Systems Customer Experience (DSCX) portfolio of 30+ digital products. This people-leadership role covers capture management, government pricing, systems pricing, contracts, government property, government business, and sustainment and fleet analytics. The position builds the product management discipline and owns the product operating model, including roadmap standards, prioritization frameworks, and outcome governance. The role is planned to have 8–10 direct reports across product managers and UX designers. The Senior Director leads technical product managers and UX designers who set product direction, translate business outcomes into prioritized backlogs, and partner with Engineering to deliver capabilities for Federal and commercial markets. The role establishes sustainable processes and artifacts, coaches and trains the team, and applies AI to identify opportunities to expand the team's impact. It owns two- to three-year roadmaps for each product and product area, defines consistent prioritization, drives feature development one to two quarters ahead and story development one to two sprints ahead, and establishes measurable product KPIs, success metrics, and OKRs. The position ensures product requirements and user stories meet quality standards, connects roadmap items to business outcomes, and partners with Engineering on technical design, sequencing, and delivery within enterprise architecture and data governance standards. It serves as the key product relationship manager for the D&S business, maintaining stakeholder maps and recurring touchpoints, including monthly business reviews. It also manages the funding and business case pipeline, tracks open business asks and decisions, and leads hiring, performance management, coaching, and talent development for the product and UX team. The DSCX portfolio runs primarily on AWS, Palantir Foundry, or third-party SaaS solutions, with on-premise implementations for customers whose data sensitivity requires them. Delivery uses Rally and Microsoft Teams; ServiceNow is the system of record for incident, change, and defect management. Monitoring and alerting tools vary across applications, and consolidation is part of the organization's work. The portfolio has an annual budget of more than $25 million. The role leads a hybrid and fully remote team and requires a deliberate approach to distributed work. Cincinnati, Ohio (Evendale) is strongly preferred, and travel may be up to 20% for customer discovery, business reviews at D&S sites, and vendor engagement.
