About The Position

As part of the GE Aerospace Digital Technology organization supporting the Defense & Systems (D&S) business, the Senior Director, Technical Product Management leads product management across the Defense and Systems Customer Experience (DSCX) portfolio. This people-leadership role covers capture management, government pricing, systems pricing, contracts, government property, government business, and sustainment and fleet analytics. The position owns the product operating model, including roadmap standards, prioritization frameworks, and outcome governance, and leads technical product managers and UX designers who set direction, translate business outcomes into prioritized backlogs, and partner with Engineering to deliver measurable results across Federal and commercial markets. DSCX owns more than 30 digital products and is separating product management from project management and operations. The role will build the product management discipline and a sustainable operating model, establish standard processes and artifacts, create a clear prioritization framework, and coach and train a planned team of 8–10 direct reports. The portfolio runs primarily on AWS, Palantir Foundry, and third-party SaaS solutions, with on-premise implementations for customers with sensitive data. The portfolio has an annual budget of more than $25 million. The role includes accountability for closing security vulnerabilities within severity SLAs set by the Business Information Security Officer organization. The role owns consistent product roadmaps, including two- to three-year roadmaps and NorthStar vision for each product and product area; prioritization; product KPIs, success metrics, and OKRs; daily portfolio visibility and monthly operating-review metrics; and outcome accountability. It partners with Engineering on technical design, sequencing, and delivery, maintains business stakeholder relationships and funding pipelines, and leads hiring, performance management, talent development, and product craft across the team. The position is based remotely, with Cincinnati, Ohio (Evendale) strongly preferred. The team is part hybrid and part fully remote, and the role requires a deliberate approach to distributed work. Travel may be up to 20% for customer discovery, business reviews at Defense and Systems sites, and vendor engagement.
