About the position
Translation is seeking a Senior Creative - Copywriter with 5+ years of experience to join UnitedMasters. The ideal candidate will have a portfolio that displays clear conceptual thinking, the ability to translate core ideas into multiple iterations, and a passion for storytelling. This role will be part of a Senior Creative Team that strives to elevate department success while nurturing the growth of junior talent. The Senior Creative - Copywriter will be responsible for conceiving and implementing creative ideas, concepts, and strategies in client endeavors while working with teams to oversee them to completion. The salary range for this position is $115,000 - $160,000.
Responsibilities
- Own the process, collaborating seamlessly with account, strategy and production teams.
- Conceive and implement creative ideas, concepts and strategies in client endeavors while working with teams to oversee them to completion.
- Align with creative management to monitor team efforts and provide feedback on performance.
- Sync with project management to prioritize work across multiple deliverables to satisfy both short- and long-term priorities.
- Structure creative presentations with an enthusiasm for presenting multi-platform campaign ideas while fostering strong client relationships.
- Proven background of ideation, presentation and execution of core big campaign foundations.
- Able to prioritize work and resources across engagements based on short- and long-term need, timelines and budgets.
- Possess and encourage initiative, drive, empathy, accountability, creativity and maturity.
- An entrepreneurial disposition and able to move with the ebbs and flows of pitches, brainstorming sessions, and deadlines with agility, humor, and focus.
- Strong communicator on the team and capable of teaching staff members to be more persuasive writers and presenters.
- Possess and deliver excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating the ability to present thoughts clearly, accurately, and succinctly.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years relevant creative field experience with corresponding portfolio of work
- Strong writing craft, range of style, a writerly writer
- Progressive experience creatively helming productions with minimal supervision
- Digitally savvy; must be proficient in Google and Microsoft Office suite
- Proven background of ideation, presentation and execution of core big campaign foundations
- Able to prioritize work and resources across engagements based on short- and long-term need, timelines and budgets
- Possess and encourage initiative, drive, empathy, accountability, creativity and maturity

- Progressive experience in a client-facing creative role
- A comprehensive understanding of sports and music culture is always a plus at Translation as well as ability to concept across a range of tones from humor to serious
- Training, degree or relevant work experience in a directly-related field, such as advertising, art / design, or journalism / script writing
