SENIOR COOK (FULL TIME)
About The Position
Bon Appétit Management Company is hiring a full-time Senior Cook at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota. The role prepares food that is nutritious and properly flavored, in accordance with applicable federal, state, local, and company standards, guidelines, and regulations. The fixed pay rate is $27.31 per hour. Days and hours may vary; further schedule details are provided upon interview. The Senior Cook prepares entrees and menu items using established recipes, maintains food storage and sanitation standards, and may oversee food service associates as assigned by the Food Service Director. The position also supports production records, documentation, and employee cross-training.
Requirements
- Previous cooking experience is required.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
- May oversee cooking activities of food service associates as assigned by the Food Service Director.
- Prepare various entrees and menu items following established recipes.
- Operate and clean equipment after each use and perform scheduled routine cleaning.
- Store, label, and date food items according to policy, and help maintain organized dry, refrigerated, and frozen storage.
- Follow HACCP guidelines to ensure the quality and safety of the food supply.
- Comply with federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures.
- Assist the Food Service Director in maintaining accurate daily production records and complete assigned documentation, reports, and logs.
- Assist in cross-training employees.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
