SENIOR COOK (FULL TIME)
About The Position
Eurest is hiring a full-time Senior Cook at The Cloisters on the Platte in Gretna, Nebraska. The position pays $22.50 to $25.00 per hour and follows a Wednesday-through-Sunday schedule, with weekend work, an AM or PM shift, and occasional special events. The Senior Cook prepares food that is nutritious and properly flavored in accordance with applicable standards, guidelines, regulations, and established recipes. The role may oversee food service associates’ cooking activities as assigned by the Food Service Director and helps maintain food safety, sanitation, records, organized storage, and employee cross-training.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of professional cooking experience.
- Must be team-oriented, adaptable, and reliable.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Prepare entrees and other menu items according to established recipes and applicable standards.
- May oversee cooking activities of food service associates as assigned by the Food Service Director.
- Operate and clean equipment after each use and perform scheduled routine cleaning.
- Store, label, and date food items according to policy, and help organize dry goods and refrigerated and frozen products.
- Follow HACCP guidelines to ensure the quality and safety of the food supply.
- Comply with federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures.
- Assist the Food Service Director with accurate daily production records and complete assigned documentation, reports, and logs.
- Assist with cross-training employees.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
