About The Position

At Gallagher Bassett, the Senior Commercial Claims Adjuster supports people and organizations through challenging moments by managing claims with empathy, precision, and partnership. This role focuses on Auto Liability claims and is eligible for fully remote work. The adjuster investigates, evaluates, and resolves complex claims, analyzes exposure and litigation, determines appropriate courses of action, and works with clients and other claim participants to achieve resolution. Claims must be handled consistently with client and corporate policies and procedures, industry methodologies, and statutory, regulatory, and ethical requirements. The role also emphasizes timely, efficient documentation and communication of claim activity, exceptional claimant service, and collaboration with clients to improve claims management processes.

Requirements

High school diploma.
At least 5 years of related claims experience.
Appropriate licensing and/or certification in all states where claims are handled.
Knowledge of accepted industry standards and practices.
Computer experience with related claims and business software.

Responsibilities

Analyze claims exposure and litigation, plan appropriate courses of action, and resolve claims.
Communicate and coordinate extensively with parties involved in the claim process to support effective resolution.
Provide empathetic customer service to claimants on behalf of clients throughout the claims process.
Handle claims in accordance with client and corporate policies, procedures, standard methodologies, and statutory, regulatory, and ethical requirements.
Document and communicate claim activity promptly and efficiently to support claim-file outcomes.
Investigate, evaluate, and resolve complex Auto Liability claims using claims experience and analytical skills.
Partner with clients to deliver solutions and enhance the claims management process.
Think critically, solve problems, and plan and prioritize work to serve clients effectively.
