Senior Brand Manager

Bad BirdieScottsdale, AZ
Onsite

About The Position

Bad Birdie's brand is pervasive across digital channels, social media, retail, and partner activations. The Senior Brand Manager is responsible for ensuring brand consistency in appearance, tone, and feel across all consumer touchpoints. This role involves translating brand direction into precise execution, supporting campaign strategy, guiding social media efforts, and collaborating with e-commerce, retail, creative, and external partners. The position also requires analyzing channel performance and audience insights to refine the brand's strategy over time. A strong understanding of golf, including playing the game, following the sport, and knowing the brands, athletes, creators, and culture within the golf community, is essential from the outset.

Requirements

  • 6 to 8+ years in brand marketing at a consumer, lifestyle, or apparel brand.
  • Experience owning channel output end-to-end.
  • Understanding the difference between executing a brief and truly understanding one.
  • Ability to identify off-brand elements proactively.
  • Deep knowledge of golf: playing regularly, following the sport, understanding major brands, athletes, creators, and golf culture.
  • Proven experience managing and developing direct reports, including setting standards, providing feedback, and building capabilities.
  • Experience with talent, ambassador, or athlete programs at a strategic level, including setting campaign direction and managing stakeholders.
  • Strong creative eye and operational rigor.
  • Fluency in project management tools (e.g., Monday), social scheduling platforms, and DAM systems.
  • Direct, clear communication style built for cross-functional trust.
  • Experience at a premium golf, outdoor, or lifestyle brand.
  • Experience with NIL, sports marketing, or entertainment partnerships.
  • Obsession with golf, playing and watching regularly, with golf-centric social feeds.

Nice To Haves

  • Contributed to brand strategy, not just executed it.
  • Been in the room where briefs are built, not just where they land.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the intelligence layer behind every brief, bringing channel performance data, audience observations, and past execution learnings to inform strategy.
  • Contribute to seasonal planning and the development of the brand calendar, acting as a feedback loop between execution and strategy.
  • Act as the external point of contact for active partnerships post-brief and post-kickoff, owning the relationship and driving campaign execution.
  • Own campaign reporting, tracking performance across channels, identifying successes and failures, and distributing learnings.
  • Execute against briefs from the Head of Brand, translating creative direction into precise, on-brand output across all consumer touchpoints.
  • Ensure day-to-day brand consistency across social media, website, e-commerce, retail, and partner activations.
  • Receive and activate agency-produced creative assets, ensuring correct implementation across all channels.
  • Develop the editorial calendar and campaign strategy for Social Media, owning the creative brief and quality bar.
  • Oversee content derived from athlete and ambassador relationships, ensuring on-brand and on-calendar activation.
  • Serve as the primary brand liaison to the e-commerce team on influencer content standards.
  • Oversee the campaign execution of Pro Athlete and Celebrity programs, ensuring consistent activation and deliverable fulfillment.
  • Own campaign briefs and criteria for influencer and affiliate programs.
  • Set content expectations and deliverable standards for talent relationships in coordination with the Social Media role.
