About The Position

Carvana is seeking an experienced automotive painter with at least five years of professional automotive painting experience to work in one of its high-tech Inspection Centers. The painter is expected to be highly skilled in applying base coats, tri-coats, solid, metallic, and clear coats; blending adjacent panels; and paint correcting vehicles. The role offers a competitive wage and a $6,000 bonus, along with access to state-of-the-art tools and equipment. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Hours may be subject to overtime, including mandatory overtime based on business needs. The work takes place in a fast-paced, changing production environment and may involve exposure to excessive heat or cold. Applicants must be able to operate vehicle equipment and tools, lift up to 60 pounds independently, use required safety equipment, be at least 18 years old, hold a valid driver’s license, and read, write, speak, and understand English. Hiring is contingent on passing a background check; the role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

At least 5 years of professional automotive painting experience.
Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
At least 18 years of age.
Valid driver’s license; some positions may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Records check.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing production environment, with possible exposure to excessive heat or cold.
Ability to use required safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
Must pass a complete background check.
