About The Position

Carvana is hiring an experienced auto painter to prepare vehicles for customers at a high-tech Inspection Center. The role requires professional automotive painting experience and skill with base coats, tri-coats, solid, metallic, and clear coats; blending adjacent panels; and paint correction. The position offers a competitive wage and a $6,000 bonus, along with company perks and reimbursement programs. The work takes place in a fast-paced, changing production environment and may involve exposure to excessive heat or cold. Mandatory overtime may be required based on business needs. Employees use safety equipment such as face shields or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, masks, and other protective garments and equipment. Applicants must be at least 18, have a valid driver’s license, be able to read, write, speak, and understand English, and pass a complete background check. Some positions may be subject to a motor vehicle records check. This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

At least 5 years of professional automotive painting experience.
Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools and independently lift up to 60 pounds.
At least 18 years of age.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing production environment, sometimes with exposure to excessive heat or cold.
Use required safety equipment and protective garments.
Successful completion of a background check; some positions may also be subject to a motor vehicle records check.

Responsibilities

Paint vehicles using base coats, tri-coats, solid, metallic, and clear coats.
Blend adjacent panels.
Paint-correct vehicles.
