Senior Associate, New Verticals - Fulfilment Strategy & Operations
About The Position
The New Verticals team at DoorDash is focused on building and scaling new customer offerings beyond traditional restaurant deliveries, including Grocery, Convenience, Alcohol, and Retail. The Central Operations team within New Verticals is responsible for merchant onboarding, order fulfillment speed and accuracy, and logistics network improvement. This role involves identifying efficiencies, developing product tooling, and implementing operational processes at scale. The Senior Associate will own key metrics, utilize operational and product levers, and drive impactful results across these diverse business lines. This is an individual contributor position within the Central Ops group of the New Verticals Strategy & Operations organization, reporting to a Manager.
Requirements
- Familiarity with SQL.
- Comfortable using Excel and visualizing data.
- 1-3+ years of experience, ideally in consulting, strategy, operations, technology, banking, food & beverage, or high-growth startups.
- Completed Bachelor's Degree.

- SQL experience is a bonus.
Responsibilities
- Lead the scoping, go-to-market, and iteration of cutting-edge product features to improve order quality and selection across Convenience, Grocery, Alcohol, and Retail businesses.
- Work on high-impact operational and product initiatives, including improving in-store tooling and technology, and strengthening selection coverage and inventory accuracy.
- Partner with Machine Learning, Engineering, Product, and Data Science teams.
- Analyze data to drive business decision-making.
- Unpack customer feedback to identify improvement opportunities.
- Own and deliver on improving key metrics.
- Create quarterly and annual plans to advance the business and align with product capabilities.
- Identify opportunities for enhancing existing product offerings and methods to improve delivery quality.
- Lead cross-functional work streams involving Engineers, Data Scientists, and Designers to develop best-in-class product features.
- Take ownership of products and business lines, solving ambiguous problems and motivating teammates.
