Senior Account Manager, Banking & Investing

Launch Potato•St. Louis, MO
•$150,000 - $170,000•Remote

About The Position

Launch Potato is seeking a hands-on partnerships and business development expert to grow banking, deposits, and investing partners and bring on new ones. Approximately 70–80% of the role focuses on growing existing partners through increased budgets, improved economics, and broader distribution; the remaining work involves acquiring new partners, primarily through warm relationships, with outbound outreach especially on the investing side. The Senior Account Manager will work alongside the Head of Partnerships, who retains focus on the largest strategic partners. The role runs operations for those strategic banking partners and owns other banking, deposits, and investing relationships both operationally and strategically. The position connects partner goals to placements across FinanceBuzz and Launch Potato’s publisher network, and has direct exposure to senior leadership on important deals. The Head of Partnerships will work closely with the new hire during the first 90 days, with the goal of independent ownership by about day 120. Success includes growing existing partner budgets and economics, launching new bank and investing advertisers, directing internal teams to connect partner activity with media opportunities, and enabling the Head of Partnerships to focus on the largest strategic deals. Compensation includes a $150,000–$170,000 base salary, determined by level and expertise, plus an annual bonus based on company EBITDA and personal performance; there is no commission.

  • Sales ability, including opening doors and closing deals; comfort with cold outreach, especially to investing apps.
  • Ability and willingness to personally manage operational details such as URL approvals, budget changes, CPA changes, and placement and widget coordination.
  • Self-direction and ability to take ownership without needing to be pushed or provided with a complete playbook.
  • Fluency in performance economics, including CPA, CPL, CPC, and revenue share.
  • Business acumen to use performance, revenue, and unit-economic data in negotiations.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills across multiple partners and opportunities at once.

Nice To Haves

  • Coordinate with account management, product, media, analytics, compliance, legal, and finance to execute partner work.
  • Use performance, revenue, and unit-economic data in partner negotiations.
  • Connect partner activity to media opportunities and direct internal traffic to support those opportunities.
