About The Position

Public Storage is hiring a Customer Service - Self Storage Manager to work independently at multiple locations. Property Managers assist customers with assessing their storage needs and recommend storage options, including packing and moving supplies. The role also involves inspecting storage units, managing cash and deposits, following up on payments, and maintaining clean facilities and grounds. Work includes time both indoors and outdoors.

Requirements

• Customer-service-centered sales experience; successful candidates may come from retail, restaurant, fast food, or other service-based companies.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to use a personal vehicle to travel between work locations and for other work-related business.
• Ability to transport, lift, or move items weighing up to 35 pounds.
• Ability to walk around facilities, climb stairs, and open large doors.
• Ability to spend up to 50% of working time outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Assess customers’ storage needs and make recommendations, including selling packing and moving supplies.
• Inspect storage units daily to confirm inventory and availability and ensure spaces are ready to rent.
• Audit cash drawers and make bank deposits.
• Help customers stay current with payments and make reminder and collection calls when required.
• Perform cleaning and daily maintenance, including sweeping and mopping interior areas and keeping exterior grounds clean and free of debris.
• Travel between multiple work locations and conduct other work-related business using a personal vehicle.
