About The Position

Public Storage is hiring a Property Manager to work independently across multiple self-storage locations. The role includes time both indoors and outdoors and involves helping customers determine their storage needs, recommending storage options, and selling packing and moving supplies. Managers inspect storage units to confirm inventory and availability, audit cash drawers, make bank deposits, and help customers stay current on payments through reminders and collection calls when needed. The position also includes cleaning and daily maintenance of interior areas and exterior grounds.

Requirements

Experience in a customer-service-centered sales environment, such as retail, restaurants, fast food, or another service-based company.
Valid driver’s license.
Use of a personal vehicle to travel between work locations and for other work-related business.
Ability to lift, move, or transport items weighing up to 35 pounds.
Ability to walk around facilities, climb stairs, open large doors, and spend up to 50% of the time outdoors.

Responsibilities

Assess customers’ storage needs and recommend suitable options.
Sell packing and moving supplies.
Inspect storage units daily to confirm inventory and availability and ensure spaces are ready to rent.
Audit cash drawers and make bank deposits.
Help customers stay current with payments and make reminder and collection calls when required.
Complete cleaning and daily maintenance, including sweeping and mopping interior areas and keeping exterior grounds clean and free of debris.
Travel between multiple work locations and conduct other work-related business using a personal vehicle.
