About The Position

Public Storage is hiring a Property Manager to work independently across multiple self-storage locations. The role includes time indoors and outdoors and focuses on customer service, sales, facility readiness, and daily business operations. Property Managers assess customers’ storage needs, recommend suitable options, and sell packing and moving supplies. They inspect storage units, audit cash drawers, make bank deposits, follow up with customers about payments, and perform cleaning and routine maintenance.

Requirements

• Experience in a customer-service-centered sales environment, such as retail, restaurants, fast food, or another service-based company.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Use of a personal vehicle to travel between work locations or conduct work-related business.
• Ability to transport, lift, or move items weighing up to 35 pounds.
• Ability to walk around facilities, climb stairs, and open large doors.
• Ability to spend up to 50% of work time outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Assess customers’ storage needs and recommend storage options.
• Sell packing and moving supplies.
• Inspect storage units daily to confirm inventory and availability and ensure spaces are ready to rent.
• Audit cash drawers and make bank deposits.
• Help customers stay current with payments and make reminder and collection calls when required.
• Travel between multiple properties and work locations using a personal vehicle.
• Perform cleaning and daily maintenance, including sweeping and mopping interior areas and maintaining clean exterior grounds.
