About The Position

Public Storage is hiring Property Managers to work independently across multiple self-storage locations. The role involves spending time both indoors and outdoors, assessing customers’ storage needs and recommending storage options and packing or moving supplies. Managers inspect storage units to confirm inventory and availability, audit cash drawers, make bank deposits, and help customers stay current on payments through reminders and collection calls when needed. The position also includes cleaning and daily maintenance, such as sweeping and mopping interior areas and keeping exterior grounds clean and free of debris. Employees use their own vehicle to travel between work locations or for other work-related business, with mileage reimbursement provided.

The position offers flexible, full-time schedules between 9:30 a.m. and 6 p.m., with weekend hours until 5 p.m. The stated pay is $15.50 per hour. Employees working an average of 20 or more hours are eligible for full-time benefits.

Requirements

• Experience in a customer-service-centered sales environment, such as retail, restaurants, fast food, or another service-based company.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Use of a personal vehicle to travel between work locations or conduct other work-related business.
• Ability to lift, move, or transport items weighing up to 35 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assess customers’ storage needs and recommend storage options.
• Sell packing and moving supplies.
• Inspect storage units daily to confirm inventory and availability and ensure spaces are ready to rent.
• Audit cash drawers and make bank deposits.
• Help customers keep payments current, including making reminder and collection calls when required.
• Travel between properties and conduct other work-related business using a personal vehicle.
• Perform cleaning and daily maintenance, including sweeping and mopping interior areas and maintaining clean exterior grounds.
• Walk around facilities, climb stairs, and open large doors.
