About The Position

Public Storage is hiring Property Managers to work independently across multiple self-storage locations. Managers spend time both indoors and outdoors, help customers find suitable storage, and support day-to-day property operations. The role pays $20.50 per hour. Flexible, full-time schedules are available between 9:30 a.m. and 6 p.m., with weekend hours until 5 p.m. Employees who average 20 or more hours per week are eligible for full-time benefits. Mileage reimbursement is provided for travel between properties and other work-related tasks.

Requirements

• Experience in a customer-service-centered sales environment, such as retail, restaurant, fast food, or another service-based company.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Use of a personal vehicle to travel between work locations and conduct work-related business.
• Ability to transport, lift, or move items weighing up to 35 pounds.
• Ability to walk around facilities, climb stairs, and open large doors.
• Ability to spend up to 50% of work time outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Assess customers’ storage needs and make recommendations, including selling packing and moving supplies.
• Inspect storage units daily to confirm inventory and availability and ensure units are ready to rent.
• Audit cash drawers and make bank deposits.
• Help customers stay current on payments and make reminder and collection calls when required.
• Complete cleaning and daily maintenance, including sweeping and mopping interior areas and keeping exterior grounds clean and free of debris.
• Travel between multiple work locations and conduct other work-related business using a personal vehicle.
