About The Position
Responsible for maintaining the safety and well-being of assigned patients through continuous observation and monitoring. Collaborates closely with the Registered Nurse and patient care team to provide a safe environment. Communicates changes in patient condition, behavior, or safety concerns promptly and effectively to support high-quality patient care and safety. Performs any additional delegated task within defined scope of practice.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Able to communicate and work with a wide variety of staff, patients, and families.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to problem solve.
- Flexibility and ability to remain alert to safety issues.
- Complete all required education for the position.
- Complete Phase 1 Course within thirty days of hire.
- Complete Phase 2 Course and pass assessment within ninety days of hire.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous patient sitter experience.
