About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Armed Security Site Supervisor at a utility company site in Downtown Manhattan. The supervisor oversees and coordinates quality security services during an assigned shift and serves as a liaison among site supervision, the Account Manager or Field Operations Manager, and security officers. The role supervises staff on the assigned shift, providing coaching, recognition, and discipline within approved empowerment limits.

The position pays $40.00 per hour. Candidates should be flexible to work Friday and Saturday evenings or overnight. The supervisor enforces contract standards and company policies, administers site safety programs, handles common and crisis situations, and uses scheduling, billing, and reporting software to support effective site operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact professionally with personnel at all levels and the general public.
• Ability to use initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines.
• Ability to prepare neat, legible written reports and logs frequently.
• Ability to read and understand operating procedures and instructions.
• Intermediate computer skills to use wireless technology at client-specific sites.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to handle common and crisis situations calmly and efficiently.
• Successful completion of a background investigation and post-offer/pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
• Licensing may be required before employment, subject to state and local laws and regulations.
• For driving positions: valid driver's license, at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record meeting the stated criteria, required insurance, and ability to operate a vehicle safely.
• Ability to work in cold, rainy, snowy, or hot conditions; occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds; occasionally climb stairs, ramps, or ladders; and stand or walk on varied surfaces for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate delivery of quality security services on an assigned shift.
• Act as a liaison between site supervision, the Account Manager or Field Operations Manager, and security officers.
• Supervise staff, providing coaching, recognition, and discipline within approved empowerment limits.
• Enforce contract standards and Allied Universal policies.
• Administer site safety programs that address site-specific hazards, including vehicle and driving safety as applicable.
• Handle common and crisis situations at the client site calmly and efficiently.
• Use scheduling and billing software and generate and interpret reports to support business management.
• Prepare written reports and logs.
• Participate in unemployment hearings when required.
