About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Site Supervisor to supervise and coordinate quality security services on an assigned shift at a customer site in San Jose, California. The supervisor serves as a liaison among site leadership, the Account Manager or Field Operations Manager, and professional security officers. The role includes supervising staff on the assigned shift and providing coaching, recognition, and discipline within the approved empowerment range. The position pays $27.54 per hour and is full-time, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Requirements

At least two years of security experience and supervisory experience, as specified in the client contractual requirements.
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 21 years of age.
Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of personnel and the general public.
Ability to use initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines.
Ability to frequently prepare neat, legible written reports and logs.
Ability to read and understand operating procedures and instructions.
Intermediate computer skills to use wireless technology at client-specific sites.
Ability to provide exceptional customer service and communicate effectively.
Ability to work in cold weather, rain, snow, or heat.
Ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds, climb stairs, ramps, or ladders, and stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods.
Must successfully complete a background investigation and post-offer/pre-employment drug and alcohol test; a driver's record check may also be required.
Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations.
For driving positions, a valid driver's license, at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record meeting the stated company criteria, required insurance, and the ability to safely operate a vehicle are required.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate the delivery of quality services on an assigned shift at a customer site.
Act as a liaison between site leadership, the Account Manager or Field Operations Manager, and professional security officers.
Supervise staff on the assigned shift, providing coaching, recognition, and discipline within the approved empowerment range.
Enforce contract standards.
Administer site safety programs that outline site-specific hazards for security officers, including vehicle and driving safety as appropriate to company procedures.
Participate in unemployment hearings as needed.
Use scheduling and billing software and produce reports that require interpretation and action for effective business management.
Enforce Allied Universal policies as outlined in handbooks and executive memos.
Handle common and crisis situations at the client site calmly and efficiently.
