About The Position

Allied Universal Services is seeking a Security Shift Supervisor for a transit center in San Jose. The supervisor oversees and coordinates delivery of quality security services during an assigned shift and serves as a liaison among the site supervisor, Account Manager/Field Operations Manager, and professional security officers. The role supervises staff on the assigned shift, providing coaching, recognition, and discipline within the approved empowerment range. Pay is $27.29 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to deal professionally and effectively with all levels of personnel and the general public.
• Ability to use initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines.
• Ability to frequently prepare written reports and logs in neat, legible handwriting.
• Ability to read and understand operating procedures and instructions.
• Licensing requirements may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
• For driving positions: valid driver's license, at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record meeting the stated company criteria, required minimum insurance, and ability to safely operate a vehicle.
• Successfully complete a background investigation and post-offer/pre-employment drug and alcohol test; a driver's record check may also be required.
• Intermediate computer skills to use client-specific wireless technology.
• Ability to handle common and crisis situations at the client site calmly and efficiently.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in cold, rainy, snowy, or hot weather.
• Ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds, occasionally climb stairs, ramps, or ladders, and stand or walk on varied surfaces for long periods.

Responsibilities
