About The Position

The Security Shift Manager is responsible for managing the shift and security personnel to provide a safe environment and protect guests, team members, and Live! assets. The role manages security programs, processes, and procedures, supports training and performance reviews, and investigates incidents, complaints, and injuries. The position operates in a 24/7 casino environment with exposure to smoke, bright lights, loud noises, and extreme temperatures. The work requires frequent movement throughout a large casino and may involve an irregular schedule and frequent time pressures.

Requirements

• At least three years of supervisory experience in security or law enforcement.
• At least three years of work experience in a casino environment.
• A four-year degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to analyze and interpret departmental needs and results.
• Ability to solve complex problems.
• Ability to perform assigned duties under frequent time pressures and in an interruptive environment.
• Ability to maintain mental concentration for a specified period.
• Ability to comply with all state gaming regulations, which may include obtaining a license.
• Ability to remain alert and move about the casino with urgency; stand and walk for extended periods; ascend and descend stairs; run, stoop, bend, and reach outward and above the head; and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in extreme hot and cold temperatures.
• Ability to ride a bicycle and operate and ride a Segway, golf cart, or other vehicles.
• Dexterity to perform day-to-day activities and respond during emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Manage programs, processes, and procedures to protect Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia assets and ensure the safety and security of guests and team members.
• Manage programs and processes to reduce and control lost-time injuries.
• Communicate and implement department procedures in accordance with the director's direction and internal controls.
• Assist in developing and implementing Security Department training.
• Investigate incidents and guest complaints, compiling data for accurate reports to the Gaming Commission and department heads.
• Complete and investigate first reports on injuries.
• Provide input and assist with preparing performance reviews of supervisors and officers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
