About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Screener in Scottsdale, Arizona, serving a financial institution location. The role supports a professional and welcoming environment by screening visitors, verifying access credentials, monitoring entry points, and communicating with guests and team members. The position combines customer service with security procedures and access control. Pay is $21.59 per hour. Scheduled hours are Saturday, 5:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m., and Sunday, 6:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m.

Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable law.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
State or local licensing may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Comfort using a computer or tablet.

Customer service experience.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while following site-specific security procedures and policies.
Screen individuals and their belongings according to entry requirements, using assigned screening equipment and reporting prohibited or unusual items or activities.
Verify identification, manage visitor access, and maintain accurate entry records according to site procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel when needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of designated entry points, lobby areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized access.
