About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced for alarm panel operations at an assigned technology, media, and telecommunications site in Garner, North Carolina. The role provides a designated weekly shift as a reliable base schedule, with a six-month commitment. In addition to the fixed shift, officers may claim available shifts through the company scheduling platform, with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week and scale back when needed. The position pays $18.36 per hour. The listed schedule is Friday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any licensing requirements applicable under state or local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the business location and perimeter, observing unusual activity, access concerns, and potential hazards.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and delivery traffic in accordance with site requirements to help deter unauthorized entry.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications while maintaining a professional presence.
