About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Screener at a logistics and distribution location in Pooler, Georgia. The officer will operate screening equipment, monitor access points, and help identify prohibited items or irregular activity while supporting secure and efficient site operations. The role emphasizes professional customer service, clear communication, integrity, and teamwork. The schedule lists Monday and Sunday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM. The pay rate is $16.87 per hour. Employees can use the Claim a Shift platform to view and claim additional shifts. The position includes paid training and opportunities for career growth. Health insurance and 401(k) plans are specified for full-time positions.

Requirements

At least 6 months of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while following site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities.
Screen employees, visitors, contractors, packages, and vehicles entering or leaving the facility according to established procedures.
Inspect shipments, parcels, and personal belongings as required; report prohibited or suspicious items and maintain accurate screening records.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, notify appropriate site contacts, and contact emergency responders when needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, loading docks, parking areas, and the business perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
