Security Officer Part Time Entry Screener

About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer to serve as an entry screener at a food and beverage location in Haleiwa, Hawaii. The officer helps maintain a welcoming and orderly environment by monitoring access, screening visitors and deliveries, and reporting security-related concerns. A visible presence and customer-focused communication help deter incidents while supporting site operations. The scheduled shifts are Tuesday and Wednesday, 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The pay rate is $18.12 per hour. The role includes access to a platform for viewing and claiming additional shifts.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation, as permitted and required by applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

A Guard Card or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, vendors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Screen individuals, packages, and personal belongings according to access-control procedures; report prohibited items, suspicious activity, and policy violations to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
Verify identification, visitor authorization, and delivery credentials before granting access to designated areas.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical situations, and document observations and actions taken.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entry points, public areas, and the surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
