About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Screener in Jeffersonville, Indiana, at a technology, media, and telecommunications location. The role helps maintain a welcoming, controlled environment by screening visitors, verifying access credentials, monitoring entry points, and communicating professionally with employees and guests. The officer’s visible presence helps deter security-related incidents and supports smooth daily operations. The position pays $18.00 per hour and is scheduled Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 3:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.

Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out site-specific security procedures and policies.
Screen employees, visitors, contractors, packages, and deliveries according to access-control requirements and screening protocols.
Verify identification, maintain visitor logs, issue credentials as directed, and communicate access concerns to appropriate site personnel.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following emergency response procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entry points, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
