About The Position

As a part-time Security Officer serving as a Screener at a logistics and distribution location in Ladson, South Carolina, you will help maintain a secure environment by screening individuals and items, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. You will provide professional customer service and clear communication while supporting daily operations. The schedule is Friday and Saturday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The pay rate is $16.33 per hour. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
State or local licensing may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Screen employees, visitors, packages, and vehicles entering or leaving the logistics and distribution location according to post orders and site procedures.
Monitor access points, verify credentials and shipping-related documentation, and report unauthorized access attempts or irregular activity to site leadership.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, loading docks, trailers, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
