Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Area Patrol
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed Security Officer for area patrol at a commercial real estate location in San Francisco, California. The role provides reliable hours at an assigned site, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform. The designated weekly shift is a fixed “anchor shift” requiring a six-month commitment. Additional shifts may provide opportunities to work more hours, up to 40 hours per week, while retaining the option to scale back. The officer provides customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors; follows security procedures and site-specific policies; conducts patrols; monitors access points; responds to incidents; and completes required reports and shift handoffs. The listed pay rate is $27.90 per hour.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.
Nice To Haves
- CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors at a commercial real estate location by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of common areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual conditions or policy violations.
- Monitor access points and observe property activity, assist with visitor direction, and report unauthorized access concerns according to site procedures.
- Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, notify appropriate personnel, and document activities as required.
- Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift handoff communications in accordance with company and site requirements.
