About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed Security Officer for an assigned technology-focused site in Chester, Virginia. The position has a designated weekly shift that serves as a fixed base schedule and requires a six-month commitment. Officers may claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, providing the opportunity to increase hours up to 40 per week and build toward a full-time schedule, with the option to scale back. The pay rate is $19.00 per hour. The listed schedule is Saturday, 6:00 AM–2:00 PM.

The role involves providing customer service and carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies. The officer conducts unarmed patrols, monitors access points and visitors, responds to incidents, and documents observations and shift activity. Employment is subject to applicable background investigation and drug-screen requirements. Licensing may be required under state or local rules.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a technology-focused location while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, surrounding grounds, entrances, and perimeter, identifying and reporting unusual conditions or activities.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity according to site-specific procedures and direct individuals to appropriate resources when needed.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents and critical situations, notify appropriate personnel, and document observations.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident reports, and shift communications in accordance with company and site requirements.
