About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer for a government location in Miami, Florida. The role provides reliable hours at an assigned site on a designated weekly shift, with a six-month commitment to that fixed-shift assignment. Officers may also claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, allowing them to increase their hours, potentially up to 40 hours per week, and build toward a full-time schedule.

The position involves customer service, access-control procedures, unarmed patrols, incident response, and accurate reporting. The posted schedule is Monday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM. The pay rate is $22.53 per hour.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government location while following site procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency-response procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas; identify and report unusual conditions, unauthorized activity, and maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required, and direct individuals to appropriate public service areas.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and public emergency services when required.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain activity logs, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with company and site procedures.
