About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed patrol Security Officer for an assigned logistics and distribution site in Defuniak Springs, Florida. The position pays $16.54 per hour and has a designated weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment. The scheduled shift is Wednesday, 3:00 AM–2:00 PM. Officers may claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, with opportunities to increase hours up to 40 hours per week and to build toward a full-time schedule.

The role provides security-related customer service and supports site operations by monitoring access and activity, conducting patrols, responding to incidents, and reporting concerns. Work environments and conditions may vary by location.

Requirements

• At least two years of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with access control and badge processes.
• A guard card or license.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and employees while following security procedures and site-specific policies, and assist with emergency response when appropriate.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, trailer and vehicle movement, and restricted areas according to site procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; document observations and notify appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, parking areas, loading zones, perimeter, and other assigned areas.
• Report unusual activity, hazards, property damage, and policy violations to site leadership.
