About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer for an assigned manufacturing and industrial site in Martin, Tennessee. The role provides a designated weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform. Additional shifts may allow hours to vary from part-time to as many as 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The position pays $17.20 per hour. The listed schedule is Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required before employment, subject to state and local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while following site-specific procedures and security protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior work areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor facility access by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entry, and reporting access-control concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; follow emergency response activities and notify appropriate personnel.
• Complete activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications while remaining aware of manufacturing operations and changing site conditions.
