About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed patrol Security Officer in New Orleans, Louisiana. The role provides consistent assigned-site shifts, with the option to claim additional shifts through a scheduling platform. The fixed weekly assignment requires a six-month commitment, while additional shifts may offer opportunities to increase hours up to 40 per week or scale back as needed. The position pays $16.00 per hour and is scheduled Tuesdays and Sundays from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; a valid license is required for driving positions.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any licensing requirements imposed by state or local laws and regulations, which may be required before employment.

• A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors while following security procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond calmly to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the retail location, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter; identify unusual activity and report security concerns.
• Monitor access points and activity within the store, and help maintain orderly entry and exit flow according to site procedures.
• Complete daily activity reports and incident documentation accurately, and communicate relevant observations to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
