About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol for an assigned healthcare facility site in Columbus, Ohio. The position provides a designated weekly anchor shift with a six-month commitment. Officers may claim additional shifts through a scheduling platform, with the opportunity to increase hours up to 40 per week and adjust their schedule as needed. The role serves patients, visitors, and staff through security procedures, patrols, incident response, and accurate reporting.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies and carrying out emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations, notifying appropriate personnel as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facility interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, patient, and staff activity according to site-specific procedures; report unusual conditions or policy concerns.
• Complete required reports, maintain accurate activity logs, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site representatives.
