About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer Enhanced for an assigned site in Charlotte, North Carolina. The role offers fixed weekly anchor shifts requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. Additional shifts may allow employees to work up to 40 hours per week, with flexibility to scale back. The position pays $23.00 per hour and is scheduled Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

The officer provides security and customer service at financial institution facilities, monitors and documents access and visitor activity, conducts patrols, responds to incidents and alarms, and reports concerns according to established procedures. Applicants are subject to background investigation and drug screening as permitted by law. Licensing may be required under applicable state or local requirements; a valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• At least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of financial institution facilities, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site policies, and maintain accurate access and incident documentation.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel and emergency services when needed.
• Report maintenance issues, suspicious activity, and policy violations to site management and Allied Universal leadership in accordance with established procedures.
