About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed patrol Security Officer in Nashville, Tennessee. The role provides a designated site and weekly anchor shift with a required six-month commitment. Officers may also claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform, offering the opportunity to increase hours and work toward a schedule of up to 40 hours per week. The position pays $17.50 per hour. The listed schedule is Friday, 9:30 PM to 6:00 AM. The officer supports campus safety and customer service for students, faculty, staff, visitors, and other members of the campus community. Duties include conducting patrols, responding to incidents, monitoring assigned areas, reporting concerns, and documenting activity according to company and site-specific requirements.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, if required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and other campus community members while following site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, academic areas, residence halls, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
Respond professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, follow campus protocols, and contact appropriate personnel when needed.
Monitor access points and observe activity in assigned areas; report suspicious activity, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations.
Prepare accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and daily activity documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
