About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed patrol Security Officer to serve and safeguard clients at a government location in Anchorage, Alaska. The officer will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond professionally to security-related concerns. The role also involves providing customer service to visitors, employees, and the public; communicating clearly with staff and visitors; and helping maintain a welcoming environment.

The position pays $21.00 per hour. The listed schedule is Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable law.
• Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific security procedures and applicable emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Respond to incidents, public inquiries, and critical situations calmly and professionally, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to identify and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials when required, and maintain accurate logs and incident reports according to site procedures.
• Communicate professionally with municipal personnel, law enforcement, emergency responders, and the public during routine operations and emergencies.
