About The Position

As an Unarmed Property Patrol Security Officer with Allied Universal in Cortland, Ohio, you will serve and safeguard clients across a range of industries. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide customer service. The role involves communicating with visitors and team members, reporting observations, and supporting a welcoming environment. This is a full-time position scheduled Monday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The pay rate is $18.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel by following site-specific security procedures, policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established site protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, surrounding grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location.
Document incidents, observations, and daily activities in accordance with company and site procedures.
Communicate professionally with site contacts, visitors, and emergency responders while supporting a welcoming and orderly environment.
