Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Property Observation
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer for a luxury retail location in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. The officer will safeguard the client’s property and support a welcoming environment for guests and staff through visible patrols, observation, customer service, clear communication, and teamwork. The role is scheduled for daytime hours on Monday and Tuesday, 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and pays $20.35 per hour. The position involves carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, monitoring assigned areas, responding professionally to concerns and incidents, and communicating observations to site management and Allied Universal leadership. Applicants are subject to background investigation and drug screening, as permitted by law. State or local licensing may be required before employment.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
- Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements if required before employment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, employees, tenants, and visitors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the retail sales floor, entrances, stockroom areas, exterior perimeter, and surrounding common areas.
- Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and vendor activity in accordance with site procedures.
- Report unusual conditions, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations; contact Allied Universal leadership and emergency services when required.
- Prepare accurate reports and communicate daily activities, incidents, and security-related observations to site management and Allied Universal leadership.
