About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Officer for a retail location in Midlothian, Virginia. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license. The officer will provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and employees while monitoring and patrolling the property, maintaining a visible presence, supporting access control, and responding to incidents and concerns professionally. The schedule is Wednesday through Saturday, 5:00 PM to 1:00 AM. The pay rate is $17.76 per hour.

Requirements

• A valid driver's license is required for this driving position and must comply with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any licensing requirements that apply under state and/or local laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Experience with access control and badges.
• Customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of retail common areas, parking areas, building perimeters, and exterior spaces to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location.
• Report suspicious conditions, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Complete accurate incident reports, daily activity reports, and other required documentation.
