About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Officer to serve and safeguard clients at a public-facing library location in Toledo, Ohio. The officer will maintain a visible presence, monitor and patrol the site, help deter security-related incidents, interact professionally with visitors and staff, respond to concerns, document observations, and provide customer service. The listed pay rate is $17.00 per hour, paid weekly. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 12:30 PM to 8:30 PM.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable licensing requirements that may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and conduct emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
• Maintain a visible presence at the library to help deter security-related incidents.
• Interact professionally with visitors and staff, respond to concerns, and document observations.
