About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Officer for a retail location in Byram, Mississippi. The officer will help safeguard clients, customers, and store associates by maintaining a visible presence, conducting routine and random patrols, monitoring assigned areas, and supporting a welcoming environment through professional customer service and teamwork. The role pays $13.50 per hour and has overnight shifts listed for Monday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, from 11:59 PM to 8:00 AM. The officer will follow security procedures and site-specific policies, respond to incidents and concerns, observe and report unusual activity or hazards, and assist with access control and visitor interactions. Employment is contingent on a background investigation and a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. State or local licensing may be required before employment.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store associates while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter.
Monitor for unusual activity, potential policy violations, and hazards, and report observations to appropriate personnel.
Assist with access control, visitor interactions, and other assigned security-related duties.
